Unit 1 - Cooperative Freedom


In this first unit, Professor Morten asked the following questions:

  1. How much freedom should online students have?
  2. Is online collaboration really worth or just a waste of time?
  3. How can we facilitate cooperation in paced and unpaced learning environments?

We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of self-paced and group-based online courses with a very interesting activity: the debate between men (defending group-based learning) and women (defending self-paced learning).
We also understood the concepts of cooperative freedom, distance learning partners and online collaboration.
